Mollie Baldwin Manner

If you don't remember me: I had long brown hair and glasses and a limp, I played the piano, and I was good at academics. Hip replacements after graduation helped me to walk without so much pain, and both hips have been replaced again, along with a shoulder joint. While working on my Master's degree in piano performance at the University of Wisconsin, I met the man I was married to for 20 years. My children were born in Baltimore, and when we moved to St. Paul, MN, Becca had her 1st liver transplant at Mayo. We moved to Lincoln in 1998 and my kids went to Sheridan/Irving/LSE as I did; I live in the house where I grew up. I play piano and do musical direction for local theatres and choirs and churches. Becca received her 4th liver transplant in 2016, and she assists her Korean husband in his veterinary clinic in Incheon. Natalie married her Sheridan 3rd-grade crush, works as a project manager and sings on the side. She and her husband gave me a grandson, Jack. Life is amazing.

High school was like prison to me, and I am grateful for my fellow inmates for getting me through it. The loosely defined group affectionately referred to as Bozos and Bozoettes helped me to get away from the reminders on my calendar and to try to schedule some fun and fellowship into my life. This was probably the most important thing I was taught, and I am still learning it. It is no surprise to me that Tim and Laura Tidball are like second parents to my own kids. I also find that fb has brought me old LSE friends with a shared history who inspire me with their new projects and perceptions of life. There is so much more to do in this world, and I am grateful for old friends to share that with. What a wonderful group of people, all from just one high school class.
